Match Preview

Vitesse make the long trip from Arnhem to Rotterdam to face Feyenoord in what promises to be an exciting top seven Eredivisie (ERE) clash! Both sides have dreams of European football, yet defending champions Feyenoord cannot afford another slip up if they are to qualify for the Champions League.
The two sides head into this one on the back of differing results, Vitesse looked lacklustre to say the least last time out against Den Haag, a game in which they lost 1-0.
Feyenoord made short work of Groningen in their last game, running out 3-0 winners with Robin van Persie scoring on his return to De Kuip.
The reverse fixture did not prove to be the most exciting game for fans of either club. In De Kuip back in December, Nicolai Jorgensen scored the winner in the ninth minute.
The top scorer for Vitesse, Tim Matavz, remains missing through suspension and this will put more pressure on winger Linssen to provide something.
Players to watch: Mason Mount (VIT) has proven to be a great success this term, the loan signing from Chelsea has six goals and an assist from midfield this year. He has also scored two goals in his last three appearances.
Robin van Persie (FEY) scored the second quickest goal from a substitute the ERE has ever seen last week, just 50 seconds after coming onto the pitch to score his first Feyenoord goal in 14 years. What an impact!
Stat attack: Vitesse are unbeaten in their last five games at the GelreDome, and have seen under 2.5 goals scored here in 14 of their last 16 encounters with Feyenoord. Furthermore, four of Vitesse’s last five games at home this term have produced under 2.5 goals in total.
There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Feyenoord’s last three ERE away games. A tight affair is expected.

Match Preview: Ajax 2-1 Twente Predictions and Betting Tips, Netherlands (Eredivisie)

Ajax – Twente Tips & Predictions For Today, February 11, 2018.
League: Netherlands – Eredivisie
Kick-off: 12:30
Tip: Over 2.5 Goals
Odd: 1.30
Bookmaker: bet365
Match Result: 2:1 WON!!!

Match Preview

Gertjan Verbeek and his Twente squad face an uphill battle to stay outside of the bottom three as they travel to Ajax. The last round of fixtures saw them capitulate to just three points away from Breda in 15th place.
This fixture is a complete mismatch on paper, with Ajax and Twente separated by 14 places and a staggering 35 points. Erik ten Hag will view this as an easy three points to keep pressure on leaders PSV. Although stranger things have happened – an upset here looks very unlikely.
Ajax have come from behind to beat teams from the bottom three in each of their last two games. Don’t be surprised if it takes an early Twente goal to give Ajax a kick up the behind, as they won both games by a two-goal margin.
Boasting the greatest goal difference in the league, Ajax have the most lethal attack and the strongest defence – with a goal ratio of 63:20, they still however, sit in second.
With Twente’s only victory in their last six games coming against Eerste Divisie Cambuur, and top scorer Ousamma Assaidi out injured, their outlook is not very rosey in this game.
Players to watch: Veteran striker Klaas-jan Huntelaar scored a brace last time out, moving him to joint-top scorer status with nine goals apiece, alongside Donny van de Beek and David Neres.
Tom Boere (TWE) will be called upon, given Twente’s injury list. However, he has just four goals this season with his last an equaliser against Ajax in the reverse fixture to draw level 3-3.
Stat attack: Sixteen of Ajax’s last 17 home games have seen over 2.5 goals scored in total and they have won their last six at home fixtures in the league.
Ajax have won each of the last five games at home against Twente and have scored 3+ goals in the last four games. Twente have not won in the league in Amsterdam since 2004/’05!

Match Preview: Inter 2-1 Bologna Predictions and Betting Tips, Italy (Serie A)

Inter – Bologna Tips & Predictions For Today, February 11, 2018.
League: Italy – Serie A
Kick-off: 15:00
Tip: Home Win
Odd: 1.53
Bookmaker: 10Bet
Match Result: 2:1 WON!!!

Match Preview

Internazionale (Inter) will be hoping to end their poor recent run of results in Serie A (SA) games when they entertain Bologna at the San Siro. Luciano Spaletti’s Inter side are winless in eight, having drawn all four of their games so far this calendar year.
In terms of recent history, Inter have a firm upper hand, winning 16 of the last 24 matches against Bologna, who have themselves beaten Inter just twice over the same period.
An Inter victory over their 12th-placed visitors could push the Nerazzuri into third, and even put them two points ahead of Lazio. On the flip side, defeat for Inter would give fifth-placed AS Roma a prime opportunity to overtake them, as the quest for Champions League qualification heats up.
Seven of Bologna’s eight SA wins this term have come against teams in the bottom half of the table. By contrast, Bologna have suffered greatly against teams in the top half of the table – except for Inter, with a 1-1 draw being produced in the reverse fixture.
Bologna’s last away win over Inter came in March 2013, with a single goal settling the match.
Players to watch: Mauro Icardi has scored 18 goals for Inter this campaign, and he will be out to exploit the comparatively weak defense of Bologna. His effort from the spot in the reverse fixture ensured a share of the spoils for his team.
Mattia Destro is the primary source of goals for Bologna and the travelling faithful will again be looking to him to ignite their heroes’ attacking endeavours.
Stat attack: There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Bologna’s last eight games in SA, and they have conceded at least twice in each of their last five games on the road.
Each of Inter’s last six games in SA have seen less than three goals and the last four have seen both teams finding the net.

Match Preview: Malaga 0-1 Atletico Madrid Predictions and Betting Tips, Spain (LaLiga Santander)

Match Result: 0:1 WON!!!

Match Preview

Fans will witness a battle of two teams facing opposite situations in La Liga (LL) this Saturday, as bottom-placed Malaga host second-placed Atletico Madrid at La Rosaleda Stadium. Malaga currently sit dead last in LL with just 13 points after 22 games (W3, D4, L15).
Malaga are coming off the back of a disappointing 1-0 loss away to relegation-threatened Las Palmas on Monday, and their current form shows no signs of changing for the better anytime soon. Los Boquerones have not won in their last five LL matches (D2, L3) with just one goal scored and four conceded over that span – relegation form!
Atletico Madrid (49 points) remain in second place in the LL standings, and right now they seem like the biggest threat to Barcelona’s title run. They have been one of the best teams in LL over the past five games as well, registering four wins and just one draw. They are tied with Barca for the best record in LL over that span.
Los Colchoneros are coming off a 1-0 win over Valencia the last time out. However, they still sit nine points behind Barca in the standings and at this stage, it seems like their main goal will be to secure a direct place in the UEFA Champions League for next season.
Players to watch: Antoine Griezmann is always a joy to watch, but fans should keep an eye on Angel Correa as well. The winger has six goals in 22 appearances, and scored the match-winning goal against Valencia last week.
Borja Baston only has two goals this season with Malaga, but he will need to carry the team on the attacking due to the fact that Diego Rolan (top scorer with three goals) is out injured.
Stat attack: Atletico have kept a clean sheet in four of their last five LL games, while Malaga have conceded goals in four of their last five games. Malaga also have the worst home record in LL with just two wins, three draws and five losses (nine points) in ten games.
Atletico have the best defence in the league with just nine goals conceded in 22 games, an average of just 0.4 per game. On the other hand, Malaga have allowed 35 goals over that same span, an average of 1.59 per contest.

Match Preview: Sparta Rotterdam 1-2 PSV Predictions and Betting Tips, Netherlands (Eredivisie)

Tip: Away Win

Bookmaker: Unibet
Match Result: 1:2 WON!!!

Match Preview

Dick Advocaat’s Sparta Rotterdam welcome Phillip Cocu and his title chasing PSV side for this complete Eredivisie (ERE) mismatch! This game sees top vs bottom and the formbook speaks volumes – PSV have lost fewer games than Sparta have won this term! (2 – 3)
Although it doesn’t happen often, Sparta managed an amazing cup run last season, knocking out PSV 3-1 here at the Castle. They went on to reach the semi finals that year, Sparta have not scored three goals against PSV in any other game.
PSV have equalled and then broken their record for consecutive home wins in the space of a week! They have eclipsed their 1986/’87 record of 21, after notching their 22nd straight home ERE victory against Excelsior in midweek – they have lost just two away from home all season.
Advocaat has just one win since taking over as Sparta boss (W1, D0, L4), thanks to a simple Freddy Friday goal against Willem II. They face a mammoth task here in defeating the runaway leaders. Maybe next week for Advocaat’s men, or could this be the upset of the season?
Players to watch: Loris Brogno (SPA) will start in the middle of the park. He knows where the net is in big games as he helped defeat PSV in the cup triumph of last season. He most recently scored in a Rotterdamse derby vs Excelsior two weeks ago.
Luuk de Jong (PSV) has scored six goals in his last five ERE appearances, this equals the amount he scored in the 25 games prior to the run!
Stat attack: Sparta have lost nine of their last ten games, and have been drawing at half time, losing at full time in five of their last six games (ERE).
PSV have won each of their last six, and nine of the last 11 meetings between these teams in all competitions. Six of the last nine meetings here at Sparta have produced under 2.5 goals in total.
